What a CIS looks at
A CIS looks at the profile of your local community and the possible health and social impacts of the proposed licence or change. The Queensland Government sets out which applications require one, and exceptions and waivers exist. If you are not sure whether your application needs a CIS, start with the official guidance linked below or ask us when you get in touch.
How we help
We start with a free initial consult to talk through your venue and what you are planning. From there, our partner's team assists with preparing CIS documentation and liaising during the application process. What is involved depends on your venue and proposal, so we discuss the scope with you first.
Part of your wider application
Where a CIS is needed, it forms part of the wider liquor application. We also help with new liquor licence applications, licence transfers, permanent and temporary changes, extended trading hours, event licences and RAMP, with support available across Queensland. If your plans involve more than one of these, raise them in the same conversation.
